How is pasted text calculated?

Students are flagged for pasting text when they use their keyboard or mouse to paste text into the response field, with the following exceptions:

  1. They copied some or all of one of their prior responses to the question
  2. They copied some or all of the question itself
  3. They copied some or all of the source text for the question
